Do you have what it takes to win the Krisko County Holiday Talent Fair? Gather your friends and make plans to see Friends of George’s holiday production; “A Fabulous Navidad”, November 9, 10, 16 and 17th at Evergreen Theatre.
In speaking with Ty Phillips, a writer for FOG, he shared that “A Fabulous Navidad” brings us back to “George’s Truck Stop and Drag Bar” and Maybelline’s frantic attempts to put on the Annual Holiday Talent Fair. We also meet a new character, played by Camille Collins in her return as a company player.
If you have ever been to a FOG show, you know each performance will be unique, vibrant and probably somewhat intoxicating (doors and bar open at 7.) Songs will be sung, (well… lip synced), the Christmas tree and Mary Kay may or may not fall over during the show and the definition of “talent” will be stretched tighter than Delta’s (latest) facelift.
You will cherish the photos with the cast at the after- party and make them your holiday cards, so wear your best holiday garb and come prepared to kick off the holidaze with the cast and crew. They’ll warm the cockles of the coldest heart.
Proceeds will benefit the Immigrant Legal Defense Program at Latino Memphis.
