WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) praised today’s passage of a resolution (H. Res. 630)requiring Members and Employees of the House of Representatives to complete anti-discrimination and anti-sexual harassment training.

Congressman Cohen was a cosponsor of the resolution, which requires members, their staffs and even unpaid interns to take a course of training in workplace rights and responsibilities, including anti-discrimination and anti-sexual harassment training.

I wholeheartedly support the objective of this legislation which aims to foster a work environment of mutual respect and dignity,” Cohen said. “These issues must be taken seriously, and this is an important step towards making that happen.”
