Once each year Nashville CARES teams with area restaurants to support its mission to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Middle Tennessee. More than 26 restaurants and counting invite everyone to dine-in, take out, or order curbside-delivery on Tuesday, April 20. A portion of the bill for each Dining Out For Life meal, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, will go directly to Nashville CARES, which is not only working to eliminate HIV/ AIDS, but also provides lifesaving health care and services to its thousands of clients.
An added benefit to this year’s Dining Out For Life event is each meal purchased also supports participating restaurants and the staff who have been impacted during the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 event was canceled due both to the tornadoes that cut through a large swath of Middle Tennessee and the COVID-19 pandemic. That’s why we’re especially pleased to partner with area restaurants this year.
The most recent Dining Out For Life event in 2019 raised more than $103,000 thanks to Middle Tennessee restaurants’ generosity and the diners who participated. Ninety five percent of every dollar raised went directly to client services, including providing programs, medical care, financial aid, food, and numerous other critical offerings to those who come to Nashville CARES for support. While 2021 offers its unique challenges, the hope is to top 2019’s total.
