Orpheum to Screen ELF Benefiting Mid-South Food Bank

ORPHEUM AND MIDSOUTH ARTS AGAINST HUNGER SCREEN ELF
Benefiting the Mid-South Food Bank for 3rd Year

MEMPHIS, TN – The Orpheum Theatre Group will once again join forces with the Memphis arts
community in the 3 rd annual Midsouth Arts Against Hunger food drive benefiting the Mid-South Food Bank. Patrons that bring non-perishable food items through the Orpheum Theatre or Halloran Centre for Performing Arts & Education will receive a voucher for free admission to see ELF in the historic Orpheum Theatre on Wednesday, December 19 at 7pm. This screening is presented by Orion Federal Credit Union.

Created by Veronica Batterson in 2016, the Midsouth Arts Against Hunger food drive benefits the Mid-South Food Bank through the collection of non-perishable items throughout the holiday season. Each participating arts organization provides an incentive for donation. Participants in the 2018 Midsouth Arts Against Hunger food drive include: Orpheum Theatre Group, ArtsMemphis, The Blues Foundation/Blues Hall of Fame, Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, Dixon Gallery & Gardens, Ballet Memphis, Opera Memphis, Theatre Memphis, Playhouse on the Square, and the University of Memphis College of Communication and Fine Arts. The food drive will run from November 26 through December 20.

Doors open at 6pm for the Orpheum’s screening of ELF on Wednesday, December 19 at 7pm. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to take photos with Santa.
