In light of the AAF announcement suspending league operations, Memphis Express Pride Night Event on Saturday, April 13th has been rescheduled to the following day April 14th . Bluff City Sports Association has picked up the reigns to continue our LGBTQ+ and Allies Pride Celebration by hosting OUR PRIDE IS SHOWING during their regular spring season softball games at Willow Park.
Since so much effort in the community has gone to making the original event a huge success that BCSA wanted to continue the excitement for our community! Our LGBTQ+ and Allies are invited to have booths to share their exciting stories and hang their banners. Plans are in the works to have tailgating, booths, banner display, food trucks, music, dance, kickball and a SCAVENGER HUNT through the community along with league softball games. A portion of any funds raised will go toward OUTMemphis’ Metamorphosis Project for the LGBTQ youth homelessness in Memphis. Check out OUTMemphis’ and Partner’s amazing work at https://www.outmemphis.org/programs-services/youth/metamorphosis-project/.
If your or your organization is interested in volunteering (much assistance is needed), making an appearance, setting up a booth, making a contribution to the Metamorphosis Project or if you have any questions, please email MemphisGaySports@GMail.com.
