Join us for our 7th annual Cooper-Young Garden Walk hosted by the Cooper-Young Garden Club to raise funding to maintain and beautify our CY community, one garden at a time.
Our theme this year is: “Hats ON to Gardeners”.
During the event, participants are able to:
- Tour 90+ home, business, and school gardens
- chickens, beehives, funky art, raised beds
- Walk our celebrated level 3 arboretum
- Learn about native plants
- Shop at 23 art vendors
- Visit 22 education booths and speakers
- Walk, drive, or take the Backbeat Tours shuttle
- Hat Contest—-show your creativity and win prizes
The Walk will showcase numerous styles of gardens: formal structured gardens to eclectic whimsy-themed gardens and early, just out of the design phase, gardens, and fully developed gardens.
New this year: Keynote Speaker, Carmeon Hamilton, HGTV design star of “Reno My Reno” and Memphian. Carmeon will speak at the Memphis Botanic Garden, May 20, 6-8pm on “The Magic of House Plants: Growing, Designing With, and Benefits of”.
Backbeat Tours will shuttle garden visitors around the neighborhood.
Hat Contest: Wear a garden themed hat and have the chance to win prizes.
Take a break and enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at our many fabulous eateries in Cooper Young, some offering discounts to ticket holders.
