Grammy Award Winning Wilco set to play Shell Yeah! Benefit Concert on April 14

Tickets go on sale February 7

The Levitt Shell’s annual ticketed Shell Yeah! Benefit Concert Series is coming out of the gate strong with Grammy Award Winning artists Wilco set to perform on April 14. Rain date will be April 20. They will be on tour in support of their eleventh studio album, Ode to Joy, released late last year.

Formerly called “Stars of the Shell”, the Shell Yeah! Benefit Concert Series at the Levitt Shell has featured artists like Jason Isbell, Emmy Lou Harris, Ben Folds and other incredibly talented regional and national acts.

“Funds raised through the Shell Yeah! Benefit Concert Series at the Levitt Shell fuel our mission of building community through music that is accessible for all Memphians,” said Levitt Shell Executive Director Natalie Wilson. “This vital series powers the continued preservation of the Shell. In fact, it allows us the opportunity to gift Memphis with a rich diversity of music from all over world, all year long.”

In year’s past there have been one-to-two fundraising concerts, but going forward the historic Levitt Shell is planning four Shell Yeah! benefit concerts. Other artists for the Shell Yeah! Benefit Concert Series will be announced soon. All proceeds support the continued preservation of the Levitt Shell as well as its growing programming and outreach efforts.
