NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Antoni Porowski, the Emmy Award-winning food and wine guru of “Queer Eye,” brings his multi-city book tour, in partnership with Williams-Sonoma to celebrate the Sept. 9 release of his debut cookbook, “Antoni in the Kitchen” (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt), to TPAC’s Polk Theater Sept. 13.
Tickets for Antoni Porowski – Antoni in the Kitchen go on sale on Friday, July 12, at 10 a.m. at TPAC.org, by phone at 615-782-4040, and at the TPAC Box Office, 505 Deaderick St., in downtown Nashville.
Porowski will demo recipes from the book, answer questions from the audience and share why food, healthy living and community are so important to him.
“The experience of writing ‘Antoni in the Kitchen’ was very personal; it took me down a nostalgic trail of my life through food, not unlike an autobiography of sorts,” Porowski says. “I’m beyond excited to travel the country and share the stories that shaped the very recipes in this book – from soups and stews inspired by my Polish parents to the off-the-cuff dinner party snacks I make for my friends.”
The Emmy Award-winning food and wine expert on the Netflix hit show ‘Queer Eye,’ Porowski earned raves from Food & Wine and Bon Appétit to GQ and The New York Times, which noted his dishes prove that “sometimes simple is anything but simplistic.”
A television personality, chef, and restaurateur, Porowski has worked as a food consultant and sommelier and is also a co-owner of the popular Manhattan eatery, The Village Den.
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has published some of the world’s most renowned novels, nonfiction, children’s books and reference works. As part of a leading global learning company, it is uniquely positioned to offer educational and entertaining content for all audiences.
