Art became a powerful form of civic expression at Art Is Revolting! And So Should You!, a silent auction created by Memphis artist Brantley Ellzey and hosted at his Summer Studio during the Fifth Annual Summer On Summer celebration at 3086 Summer Avenue. More than 70 local artists transformed protest signs into original works of art, demonstrating how creativity can inspire conversation, encourage civic engagement, and bring people together.
Guests explored a diverse collection of artist-designed protest signs, each reflecting a unique perspective ranging from humorous and hopeful to bold and thought-provoking. With music by DJ Zac Ives of Goner Records and all auction proceeds benefiting Indivisible Memphis, the event celebrated the power of art to amplify voices and strengthen community.
