(Memphis, TN) March 11, 2020: “Cazateatro Bilingual Theatre Group” Presents: “Love, Loss and What I Wore” directed by Joy Brooke Fairfield.
This show is a perfect tribute for Women’s Month.
Known for screenplays such as Michael, You’ve Got Mail, and Mixed Nuts, sisters Nora and Delia Ephron capture the essence of life with a collection of vignettes and monologues in their play, “Love, Loss, & What I Wore”, based on the book of the same name by Ilene Beckerman.
Women, clothes, and memories capture all the important subjects – mothers, prom dresses, mothers buying bras, women hating purses, and why we only wear black. Using the female wardrobe as a time capsule, the show touches on serious themes while also capturing the humor of life.
Cazateatro is the first bilingual theatre group in Tennessee. The group is formed by a group of anxious volunteers wanting to act and perform educational and cultural plays.
We strive to create a bridge between different cultures and backgrounds. The upcoming play will be performed by a multicultural cast of talented women at the Evergreen Theater.
Performances are on March 20, 21, 27 & 28 at 8:00 p.m. all performances are held at the Evergreen Theater 1705 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38104. Tickets are available at Cazateatro.org, for more information, visit cazateatro.org or call at (662)812-7743.
