Saying ‘I Do’ With Your Best Friend

By Selena Haynes

Saying ‘I Do’ with your best friend by your side makes your wedding day even more special. Of course, it can make your day a little more hectic too. Here are some tips on planning your special day with your special friend.

  • Make sure the venue is pet friendly. The last thing you want to do is show up with your pet and be told No Pets Allowed!
  • Keep your pet up to date on their shots. This keeps them safe as well as others.

  • Have a handler for your pet so you can enjoy your day. Make sure you choose someone you trust and someone your dog trusts!
  • Your handler should take care of this, but make sure there is plenty of water and treats handy. With all the excitement, your pet is sure to pant a lot and need to replenish their fluids. It’s also good for your handler to know the closest veterinarian office in case of an emergency.
  • Expect the unexpected. They don’t understand what’s going on so if you want a “perfect” day, don’t bring your pet(s). Find a reputable sitter, in advance, to take care of your fur babies.
