Last night, fast-rising pop star Kim Petras responded to the anti-LGBTQ Westboro Baptist Church who, known for their hate speech, picketed her show at The Truman in Kansas City. Owning the night with her bold response, Kim’s rebuttal is already going viral online and has drawn immediate support from Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, Demi Lovato, Katy Perry, Charli XCX, Grimes, Christian Siriano, Tinashe, Christian Cowan, Madison Beer, and more. PRESS HERE to check out a video clip and photo, which speaks loud and clear for equality and inclusivity.

After making her “official statement” via a meme in response to their plan to protest, Kim emerged from the venue as the demonstration began greeting fans outside that were there with signs of support and dropping her coat to pose, unfazed in a skin-tight bodysuit and thigh-high boots in front of the protestors that were holding hateful signs and singing. Kim’s shows are a safe haven for the LGBTQ community and a space where her fans can let go of their problems and be unapologetically themselves – and her response to the Westboro Baptist Church doubles down on this promise.

Kim has been breaking boundaries and making history as the world’s first transgender popstar, breaking into the mainstream with her string of critically acclaimed hits including “Heart to Break” and “Icy” and her sold-out shows all over the country. Wrapping next week, Kim is currently on her nationwide “The Clarity Tour” which saw her perform in to major cities across North America before she headlines shows in London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Manchester, and more at the start of 2020
