Nashville in Harmony’s Hearts Aglow Concert set for December 7

Hearts Aglow” to take place Dec. 7, featuring guest conductor Thomas Frost and eclectic holiday song selections

October 22, 2019 ­– Nashville, TN – Nashville in Harmony, Nashville’s city chorus for people of all sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression, has announced the program and further details for “Hearts Aglow”. The concert takes place Dec. 7 at Vanderbilt’s Langford Auditorium. Tickets are $30 GA advance, $35 GA day of show, $20 students, and $125 for VIP packages. Further event info here.

“Hearts Aglow” continues Nashville in Harmony’s tradition of hosting an annual holiday performance that creates a safe and welcoming environment for patrons to celebrate their community and themselves. This year’s concert includes a variety of twists on well-known holiday tunes as well as popular songs from artists including PinkZebra, Eric Whitacre and more.

“’Hearts Aglow’ will be a sleighful of music to get us all in the holiday mood, from jolly and sparkling to warm and tender, and with a few festive twists thrown in,” said Don Schlosser, Artistic Director of Nashville in Harmony.

The performance will also be Don Schlosser’s last holiday show with Nashville in Harmony. Schlosser will be joined by guest conductor Thomas Frost, who will lead select songs throughout the performance.

Special VIP tickets are also available and include reserved seating, complimentary beverages and hor d’oeuvres, and a post-show meet-and-greet with Don and the board. Nearest parking is at 25th Avenue Staff Garage. The show will be ASL interpreted, and the interpreter will be located on the right side of the stage.

About Nashville in Harmony: Nashville in Harmony is a city chorus for people of all sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression—they are open to all who support the advancement of rights for LGBT people. NIH welcomes singers with basic musical skills, and also non-singers for their behind-the-scenes 5th Section volunteers.

About Thomas Frost: Thomas Frost received his B.S. in Music at Tennessee State University and his M.M. in Vocal Performance at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. The Detroit native is currently studying under Dr. Susan Davenport at Southern Illinois University where he will attain a second M.M. in Choral Conducting, anticipated May 2020. Frost’s appreciation for the art of conducting was first realized when he was granted the opportunity to rehearsals and conduct a piece with the University Choir at Tennessee State University his graduating semester. In December of 2017, he interned with the Tennessee Chamber Chorus on their concert tour in Eastern Tennessee. Frost is currently singing with the Paducah Singers, a semi-professional chamber ensemble based in Paducah, Kentucky.
