NBA Stars Make 14 Days of Food Possible for Families at MAM

New Memphis Grizzlies star Justise Winslow and former University of Memphis and NBA star Elliot Perry have partnered with the Mid-South Food Bank to support a food distribution event for families of kids served by Memphis Athletic Ministries.  The 14-day food boxes will be distributed at a drive-through event tomorrow at MAM’s Grizzlies Center at 2107 Ball Rd.  The Mid-South Food Bank’s mobile pantry will be there to supplement the food boxes for larger families.  Perry will help distribute the food, and Winslow and his mother, Robin Davis, who was instrumental in the support, have also been invited.  Here are the details:

What:             Drive-up distribution of 14-day food boxes

families with kids who participate in programs at any of MAM’s
eight gyms across Memphis

When:            Tomorrow, Friday, March 27, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Where:           MAM Grizzlies Center, 2107 Ball Rd.

How:             We’ll practice social distancing by distributing the food to people as
they drive up in their cars    

Founded in 1998, MAM exists to coach, grow and lead young people in Memphis by helping them discover their identity in Christ and their purpose in the community.  Last year we served more than 1,800 kids in our eight gyms in high-needs neighborhoods across Memphis.
