Home Run Pet Care’s (HRPC) sixth annual Operation Santa Paws Pet Food & Supply Drive runs through Dec. 27.
Over the last six years, Operation Santa Paws has benefited New Leash On Life, Pet Community Center, Robyn’s Nest, Beyond Bars, Middle Tennessee Pet Resource Center (MTPRC), Southern Alliance For People And Animals (SAFPAW), Compassion In Action, Goofy Foot, Lifehouse, FLUFF, Italian Greyhound Rescue TN, Music City Animal Rescue and WCAC.
“Last year, we brought in just over 12,000 pounds of food, and an abundance of treats, toys, beds and supplies,” said Marge Wild, owner of Home Run Pet Care and founder of Operation Santa Paws.
“This is our sixth year, and we are hoping to make it the biggest and best yet,” Wild said. This year’s donations will go to Critter Cavalry Rescue, Metro Animal Care & Control (MACC) and WCAC.
In addition to picking up donations from HRPC clients, there will be collection bins located all over town. All five Nashville Pet Products locations, both Nashville Holistic Pet Stores, Baxter Bailey & Company and Animal House Vet Clinic have partnered with HRPC as drop off locations since the beginning and will once again have collection bins at their locations this year.
“All of these fantastic, locally owned, small businesses coming together for the animals is what makes this such a success. When we work together, we can do amazing things for our community!” said Wild.
