Each year, Playback Memphis chooses six non-profit organizations from a pool of applicants to receive a Playback experience, typically a performance or workshop, at a deeply discounted price. Organizations that are chosen are then invited to attend a public Memphis Matters performance where they will be highlighted and featured. Deadline to submit is Wednesday, November 21. Through a unique combination of improvisational theatre, personal narrative, and community dialogue, Playback Memphis is hosting Memphis Matters from 7:30 to 9 pm Saturday, December 1 at Theatre South, 1000 S. Playback Memphis holiday cards are now available. 2019 cards to feature art by students from the Be the Peace program. Proceeds from the sale of these cards will go to supporting the work of Playback Memphis’ growing youth ensemble. Suggested donation is $20 per set of six cards.
