The Illusionists are sure to leave you anything but disillusioned. Bringing together five of the top performers from the world of magic and illusion, the show is certain to entertain both the young and young at heart. From mind-reading to sleight of hand and everything in between, audience members are treated to two hours of magic, mystery, intrigue, and comedy courtesy of Colin Cloud (The Deductionist), Jeff Hobson (The Trickster), Jonathan Goodwin (The Daredevil), Kevin James (The Inventor), and An Ha Lim (The Manipulator).
Jeff Hobson is a standout, not only with his fabulous, flashy shoes, but with his mix of comedy and magic. He is the glue that brings all the performances together seamlessly. Hobson keeps the crowd engaged and entertained with some grown-up humor that is sure to fly right over the little one’s heads.
Colin Cloud (above), who many may recognize from last season’s America’s Got Talent, leaves the crowd speechless with his brand of magic he calls “forensic mind reading”. With audience involvement, he leaves you asking, “how on earth did he do that?!?!”
Kevin James and An Ha Lim (right) use more traditional magic to captivate the audience. Lim uses mesmerizing card magic while James employs coin tricks, saws, and fog to keep the night coasting along.
If death-defying feats are more your speed, fret not, there is something for you too! Jonathan Goodwin and his assistant Sabine thrill with beds of nails, cinder blocks, crossbows, and Houdini-esque escape attempt. Definitely not acts for you to try at home!
The cast are masters at their craft and at audience engagement. If you are looking for a fun way to treat the whole family, you will not go wrong with The Illusionists.
