Rob Bell Brings his Progressive Views of Christianity to TPAC

By Leah Wright

Rob Bell was one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2011. He is probably best known for founding a megachurch, the Mars Hill Bible Church. In 2013, his name became more widespread when he publicly voiced his support for gay marriage. In the years since, he’s written several books that challenge the way the Bible and religion are interpreted and has expressed the belief that staunch conservative Christianity is on the way out, as society becomes more accepting.

Bell is bringing his Holy Shift Tour to TPAC’s Polk Theater on October 12, with ticket sales to begin on Friday, June 8 at 10 a.m. Tickets are available at TPAC.org, by phone at 615.782.4040, or at the TPAC Box Office, 505 Deaderick St.
