A big crowd of enthusiastic supporters turned out for the Friends for Life benefit Showtunes Singalong this past Sunday at Zebra Lounge. The delightfully debauched emcee Julia Le Boom and gifted pianist Brennan Villines led a spirited afternoon of songs and swag giveaway. The attendees were serenaded with lively performances–from Disney classics to 80’s power ballads, the music only stopping in order for dozens of prizes to be awarded from great local establishments such as Babalu and Schweinehaus. In a sexy turn of events Brennan’s shirt was even auctioned right off his back for $100. By time the show ended Friends for Life had raised an impressive $3200 in total. Great success and great fun–you don’t want to miss out on the next one scheduled for April 23rd.
