Kim Petras + Kygo – “Broken Glass”

kim petras | Joey James

International pop sensation Kim Petras has teamed up with global superstar, producer and DJ Kygo to release the music video for “Broken Glass.” The video, which was directed by Griffin Stoddard, has a mixed vibe of a dystopian universe, botched moon landing, and “Silent Hill.”

Kim does not disappoint with her flawless vocals and amazing wardrobe, hair, and makeup. She gives off post-apocalyptic Barbie vibes. The feel of this song has elements of rawness like we sometimes get from Kesha with a crispness we have come to know from Kim.

This single is set to be the anthem for crumbling relationships that shouldn’t be saved relationships in 2020.

Harry Hains“Good Enough”

Australian musician, artist, model, and actor – most noted for “American Horror Story” and “The OA,” – Harry Hains didn’t define himself by the constructs surrounding us, and his concept of “ANTIBOY” offers a glimpse into an existence where there is complete freedom to live without preconceptions and societal labels.

Through his forthcoming posthumous concept album, “A Glitch In Paradise,” Harry imagines a world in which humans and machines co-exist. In this robot utopia, there is no inequality, prejudice, or toxicity. Harry lived this through his own identity, which was gender fluid, shapeshifting and open to interpretation just like his music. The first single “Good Enough,” is a song that questions being good enough for a partner.

Bright Light Bright Light – “I Used To Be Cool”

Bright Light Bright Light | The Karpel Group

Bright Light Bright Light has released a smooth, synth-pop single with the release of his latest song and video “I Used To Be Cool.” Described as, “A cheeky ode to cherishing your 15 minutes in the sun,” the new track has been released along with a music video that is “a campy homage to ’80s/’90s cinema, that feels one-part summer romance, one-part John Waters irreverence, and one-part classic MTV music video nostalgia.”

Bright Light Bright Light has been a staple of the worldwide LGBTQ+ music scene for over ten years, having released three prior albums and touring as both a solo artist and as support alongside pop royalty like Elton John, Cher, Erasure, Ellie Goulding and Scissor Sisters.

Joey Suarez and Jaki Nelson – “Change History”

Electro-Pop Musicians Joey Suarez and Jaki Nelson aim to “Change History” with a new track aimed at drawing attention to many of the issues of today. Joey Suarez and Jaki Nelson co-wrote and produced the song, “Change History,” which is already generating buzz in the LGBT community. The musicians, both who identify as LGBT, will donate 100% of royalties from this song to Black Lives Matter.

Jaki Nelson and JOEY SUAREZ | Agency 33

“Originally, we wrote ‘Changing History’ as an homage to the gay rights movement – to Stonewall, to the ongoing pride marches, to the people that made our lives and careers possible,” states Suarez and Nelson. “We included lines about breaking chains because that’s what it feels like when you’re stuck in the closet growing up, but in light of the current sociopolitical conversation, we felt it only right to donate the proceeds of this song to the people that are still doing the work to break the chains that are still holding them. We want to do everything we can to help not just the LGBTQ movement, but we want to be in service of any and all marginalized groups.”

Yanni Burton – “A Part of Me”

Yanni Burton | Project Publicity

Yanni Burton turns the spotlight on his own struggles of letting go and moving on from past relationships in his new single and music video, “A Part of Me,” releasing Independence Day weekend. “I have a history of getting lost in memories and emotions,” Yanni admits. “To the point where I become consumed with panic, anxiety and I can’t function properly or move on with my life.”

Produced by Yanni with his close friend Tiger Darrow, the song contains a dreamy, trippy soundscape and is darker and more emotionally intense than his previous singles. However, it still contains the pop/dance feel the artist has become known for. “As heavy as the lyrics may seem, I still want listeners to have fun, dance a little and let loose,” he explains. “I hope to inspire a sense of celebration that comes with gaining freedom from the mistakes of our past.”
