Join us for ‘A Mystical Evening with Focus,’ the Mid-South’s most prestigious honors for local LGBT+ individuals, allies and organizations who significantly influence our communities with their leadership, successes, and personal attributes.

Our Theme
Our theme this year is ‘A Mystical Evening,’ all about honoring the magic of LGBT+ community and care. Come dressed to impress as we honor outstanding nominees, hear from the nonprofits we support, and provide charitable contributions to our core nonprofit groups.

6 pm – 7 pm Special Invite Only – VIP & Sponsor Happy Hour
7 pm – 8 pm All guests welcome – Drinks, food, photos and entertainment
8 pm – 9:30 pm Focus Awards Show
9: 30 pm – 10 pm – photos and thanks

Awards Categories:
Champion of the Year
Awarded to an LGBT+ person or ally aged 30 or older whose work has created opportunities, or will have long-lasting benefits in the Mid-South LGBT community.
Heart of Gold Award
An ally of any age whose work has created opportunities, or will have long-lasting benefits in the Mid-South LGBT community.
The Trailblazer Award
Awarded to an LGBT+ person aged 30 or younger whose work has created opportunities, or will have long-lasting benefits in the Mid-South LGBT community.
The People’s Choice Award
Any LGBT+ person or ally of any age. Nominations will be submitted online. Top vote-getters will be sent to a panel of judges for final determination of the winner.
Legacy Award
Chosen by the Publisher, this award recognizes a person or persons, community group, business or ally whose work or community involvement will have long-lasting benefits in the Mid-South LGBT+ community.
Publisher’s Award
Chosen by the Publisher and the Managing Editor, this award recognizes a person or persons, community group, business or ally whose involvement in Focus Mid-South magazine’s editorial content is exceptional because of the frequency of submissions, quality of writing, depth of research on a topic, or superior artistic contributions.
Entertainer of the Year Award
The Entertainer of the Year Award is presented to an individual who has exhibited the best performance in their creative field throughout the last year.
